By placing an order for Online products, Classes or Cakes or Toppers you will be bounded by these terms:

Availability
All classes are subject to availability and are booked on a first-come-first-served basis. To ensure flexibility with dates and avoid disappointment, we advise against organizing travel or accommodation until the booking has been confirmed. In the unlikely event that less than three (4) attendees are booked, we reserve the right to postpone or rearrange a class up to seven (7) days before its scheduled date.
Event Duration
Please note that the details of event duration provided on the website and elsewhere serve as a guide only. While classes are planned based on specified times, unforeseen delays, curtailments, or breakdowns beyond our control may occur. You acknowledge that we cannot be held responsible for variations in event time and duration that are outside our control.
Please allow time for the course to run over an hour.
Payments and Pricing
Upon ordering an In-person class, full payment of the event cost is required to secure the event date. There are options to pay via Klarna should you wish to pay monthly.
Some online classes allow options for our instalment plan. If you choose the instalment plan, further payments will be automatically deducted until the final instalment is paid. By making the first instalment, you accept automatic payments during the agreed-upon period.
Please note that no refunds will be given under any circumstances if you fail to complete your payments on time, and access to lessons and associated private social media groups will be revoked. The contract is binding and could result in legal action.
Discount codes MUST be used at the time of purchasing a class via the website. Discounts will not be applied after the booking has been made.
We reserve the right to modify our pricing at any time, and our prices are current at the time of booking. Refunds or gift vouchers will not be issued for any class booked outside of an ongoing offer.
Refunds, Date, or Class Change
Before booking the course, please ensure all personal arrangements are made, as the payment for this course is NON-REFUNDABLE and cannot be transferred to another date or course. Our process operates similarly to other major companies selling airline or concert tickets. Nonetheless, you do have the flexibility to either send a substitute on your behalf or sell your seat through your personal or social platforms if you contact us beforehand.
In cases of extreme circumstances, if you provide proof and notify us at least one month in advance, Tasteful Cakes will review your situation. If your case is deemed valid, we will credit the amount towards another course, subject to a £20 administrative fee.
Tasteful Cakes reserves the right to cancel or change a course. In these circumstances, Tasteful Cakes will normally arrange an alternative date and offer students either a transfer to this date or, if this date is not convenient an alternative course. If neither is possible a full refund of money paid towards the course will be given back. This doesn’t extend to Accommodation or travel expenses.
Infectious Illness & Covid-19
If you have an infectious illness, test positive for Covid-19, or are instructed to self-isolate after encountering someone with Covid-19 by the NHS Test and Trace App within 48 hours before the class, you must notify us to safeguard the well-being of others. Under such circumstances, you will be unable to attend the class. Please provide proof of your illness or instruction to self-isolate within 24 hours (NHS Test & Trace email or Doctor’s Note), and we will defer your booking to a later date. Failure to provide this proof will result in the cancellation of your booking. In the unlikely event that we need to reschedule or postpone a class for any reason, you will be offered alternative dates, but classes will not be refunded. We will not be liable for the cost of travel expenses, pre-booked accommodation costs, or any other indirect costs incurred by you in such an event.
Allergy, Food Intolerance, and Dietary Requirements
You must inform us of any allergy, food intolerance, and dietary requirements within 24 hours of your booking being confirmed. Failure to do so may result in us being unable to guarantee the availability of ingredients or the adaptation of recipes to meet your requirements. In case you have not informed us of an allergy or food intolerance and experience an allergic reaction, we cannot be held liable.
Lunch always consists of Jacket Potato, Coleslaw, Salad, and Tuna Mayonnaise, which usually accommodates various diets.
Human Types
During classes, we will create different Human Types. We acknowledge that people from different parts of the World have diverse features, and it is crucial to represent these differences in our art. The classes will focus on the typical features of people from Africa, Asia, and Europe. However, these features do not apply to everyone from these regions, as our intention is to use them for teaching the differences between human types. The art we are learning is caricature in nature, and some features will be exaggerated to achieve the caricature effect. Besides models of different Human Types, we will also create models of different genders, with features similarly accentuated for caricature purposes. This approach aims to celebrate the wonderful individuality of every person and is not intended to offend in any way. If you have any concerns about this aspect of our teaching, we are happy to discuss our designs with you before booking. However, please note that we cannot provide a refund or be held liable for any costs if you choose not to continue with your class due to feeling uncomfortable with this element of our teaching.
Intellectual Property
All content on Tasteful Cakes’ website, Facebook page, Instagram, Pinterest, and all other social media platforms is the intellectual property of Tasteful Cakes. By attending a course with Tasteful Cakes, you agree not to copy or imitate this content for your own commercial purposes after the course. This includes Tasteful Cakes’ designs and course content. If you run Sugar Craft classes yourself or plan to start hosting classes or workshops, you may NOT use the models you have made during your class to promote your own classes or your business. You are also prohibited from using videos, designs, lesson plans, class format, photographs, teaching techniques, pre-class information, notes, wording, or any other elements of the Tasteful Cakes class/workshop you attend for your own classes or the promotion of your own classes, or present any of this media as your own.
Liability
By making a booking or purchasing or redeeming a voucher, you acknowledge that our classes are subject to certain factors beyond our control, and you agree that we shall not be liable for the cancellation, postponement, or alteration of any class due to reasons beyond our reasonable control, including weather-related reasons, mechanical failure, location changes, or any other unforeseeable circumstances. Apart from the stated exceptions, our maximum liability for any claim connected to a voucher or any cookery class booking shall be limited to the price paid for the voucher or booking. We have made efforts to ensure that the descriptions and images used in all marketing materials are accurate. However, please note that images are intended to provide a general idea of the classes described and do not form any contract between you and us. Nothing in this document limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, or for any damage or liability incurred by you because of fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation by us.
Force Majeure
Tasteful Cakes will not be liable for any loss due to circumstances that include, but are not limited to, breakdown of machinery, failure of the supply of electricity or other utilities, leakage of water, fire, flood, explosion, external road or building works, Government restrictions, Force Majeure, act of terrorism, or any other circumstance outside the control of Tasteful Cakes that may cause the event to be interrupted or cancelled.
Data Protection
You acknowledge and agree that details of your name, address, email address, and telephone number will be recorded on our internal database to communicate with you regarding your order and booking of cake decorating class and subsequent news updates. For your information, details of any payments you make, or card details are not recorded on our website, and at the point of payment, you are redirected to the website of the financial service provider. Full details of our policy regarding personal data are available in our privacy policy.
Refunds
You have the right to a refund within 14 days of purchase for any reason. However, please note that if the class provides digital downloads or immediate online access to classes, you will not have this right to a refund if your membership portal has been accessed, or the classes and digital media have been watched, and downloaded before the refund request has been made. Refunds will incur a charge of £25 to cover the cost of our administration.
Customized Cake Topper Figures
Cake toppers can be booked through the Etsy site here or arranged via email at christina@tastefulcakes.co.uk and be paid via bank transfer.
To personalize the Product, the Buyer must provide all necessary information along with all colours in the digital form provided along with supported images.
Tasteful Cakes will use the written descriptions and images provided by the Buyer to create the Product. Please note that reliance on colours from photos alone may not be accurate due to low quality and lack of true representation.
Tasteful Cakes’ style is “caricature” and not intended for actual depictions or lifelike models. The Product will be customized by making simple changes such as face shape, eye & hair colour, hairstyle, and clothing only. Each cake topper is unique, and no moulds are used, so they won’t look exactly the same as other Tasteful Cakes has made before or in the sample photos.
All cake toppers are custom-made to order according to the Buyer’s requirements, and pictures will be sent to the customer for approval before baking and shipping.
Payments and Bookings
Payment for Products must be made in full at the time of order. Tasteful Cakes accepts payment by [BACS, Payment link, or our Esty shop]. Prices for Products do not include shipping costs.
Cake toppers are usually sent out 1 month prior to your wedding date it you would like it sooner please let us know at the time of booking.
Refunds and Returns:
All of Tasteful Cakes’ work is custom created, and all sales are final. This means that the Buyer cannot return the Product or receive a refund. Tasteful Cakes takes extra care when packaging each item for shipment, but if the Product arrives broken or damaged, the Buyer should notify Tasteful Cakes within 12 hours of receipt. Tasteful Cakes will not refund the purchase price due to breakage during shipping, but the item can be returned for repair, as Tasteful Cakes is committed to providing excellent customer service.
If the Buyer wishes to return a Product for repair due to breakage during shipping, the item must be shipped back to Tasteful Cakes within 7 days of notifying Tasteful Cakes. The Buyer is responsible for shipping costs, which must include insurance. Tasteful Cakes will repair the Product and return it to the Buyer as soon as reasonably possible.
Tasteful Cakes reserves the right to refuse any return or repair request that does not comply with these Terms or is made after the applicable timeframes.
Postage, Packaging and shipping:
Shipping costs will be calculated based on the Buyer’s location and the shipping method selected at the time of order. If you would like to purchase insurance for your cake topper up to its value please inform Tasteful Cakes upon purchasing.
Tasteful Cakes will ship the Product to the Buyer at the address provided and will make reasonable efforts to ensure the Product is shipped on or before the estimated delivery date provided to the Buyer. However, Tasteful Cakes cannot guarantee delivery dates. Tasteful Cakes is not responsible for any delivery delays caused by the shipping carrier or other factors beyond Tasteful Cakes’ control.
Photographs and Advertisement:
By providing pictures and details for the creation of the cake topper and booking with Tasteful Cakes, the Buyer acknowledges and grants Tasteful Cakes permission to use photographs of the finished product, including any images that include the Buyer’s likeness or personal details, for advertisement and promotional purposes. Tasteful Cakes will exercise reasonable discretion in the use of such photographs and will not disclose any sensitive or personal information without the Buyer’s explicit consent. If the Buyer wishes to opt out of this provision, they must inform Tasteful Cakes in writing at the time of booking.
Products:
Orders placed before 4 pm will be dispatched the same day as second class
UK Standard 2nd Class Orders – please allow 1-3 days for delivery.
Our goal is for you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. If you’re not, you can return your order by post within 14 days of the purchase date. The buyer is responsible for postage costs.
Any returned items must reach us in “new/unused” condition and with all original packaging present.
In the unlikely event that your items are damaged during transit, you may return them to us for a full refund or exchange. You must notify us within 7 working days of delivery.
Tastefulcakes. Ltd. is not responsible for lost mail or delayed shipping unless purchased with tracking. Please understand that we offer a low, untracked shipping option for you because we understand how much shipping can cost. When you opt for untracked shipping, customers agree to bear the risk of an intractable and uninsured package. For tracked shipping please contact us. Thank you for understanding.
Cake Design Service
All cakes and cupcakes are bespoke and made to order. We can either design something completely new or you may wish to choose a selection from the existing Gallery and modify it for your personal needs, by changing colours and flowers to compliment a particular theme for your celebration.
Free Consultations and Cake Sampling
Free consultations are given for wedding cake orders allowing you to browse our portfolio, discuss ideas for your wedding cake, and sample some of our beautiful cakes (via prior arrangement only). These consultation sessions last approximately one hour, and are done without any obligation whatsoever.
Cake Design Alterations
Design alterations can be made up to – but no later than – two weeks before collection or delivery. If the alterations made affect the cost of the cake, the outstanding balance will be adjusting accordingly.
Lead Times
As our Wedding and Occasion cakes are designed individually we like to allow plenty of time for planning. Ideally, we ask for two months’ notice when ordering Wedding and Civil Ceremony cakes, and two weeks’ notice for birthday and other celebration cakes. If you have an urgent requirement, please contact us directly and we may, on occasion, be able to accept orders on a shorter notice depending on the current season demand.
Payment Terms
On placing an order with Tasteful Cakes, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your order. Please note all cakes are made only by Christina Georgiou. Due to the high number of classes she teaches. Christina is only able to take on a limited number of orders. With this in mind, Christina is sometimes selective about the designs and will only take on completely personalised cakes that fit within her style. please book early to avoid disappointment. The deposit is payable via cash, bank transfer or cheque. The remaining outstanding balance is payable 2 weeks prior to the date or delivery or pick up. Any cake orders placed up to two weeks prior must be paid in full.
Delivery and Collection
Delivery for a Wedding Cake is a fixed fee of £25 within a 15-mile radius, this includes the setting up of your cake at your venue. Tasteful Cakes is based in Waltham Abbey, Essex. We deliver wedding cakes over a large area, including Essex, Hertfordshire, London, Surrey, Kent, West Sussex and East Sussex. Please note that someone must be nominated by the bride to sign for the wedding cake on delivery and to accept any special instructions. For cakes to be delivered outside of a 15-mile radius, this will be priced accordingly. Collection of your cake is also welcomed – each cake will come carefully boxed with full instructions on how to assemble your cake for display. Please be aware, that once the cake has left the premises, Tasteful Cakes will not be held responsible for any accidents that may occur!
Cakes Decorated With Fresh Flowers
If your cake design involves fresh flowers, please arrange with your preferred florist to supply the required flowers and provide us with their contact details. We will then liaise directly with the florist regarding the specific floral requirements and will decorate the cake with your chosen flowers on site.
Cakes Decorated with Non-Edible Materials and Sugar Wired Flowers
The use of non-edible materials for cake decoration is growing increasingly popular. Please note that the ‘craft jewels’ and accessories such as brooches, ribbons, silk flowers, sugar-wired flowers, diamantes, beads, feathers, etc. that are used to decorate some of our cakes are not edible and must be removed from your cake prior to serving. Accessories are only used at the client’s explicit request and Tasteful Cakes will accept no liability or responsibility for any physical harm that may arise from their improper use, or failure to adhere to usage guidelines.
