IMG_0028Hello my name is Christina Georgiou and this is my story.

It all started quite some time ago, I’m sure it was as soon as I could reach the kitchen worktop. I remember getting messy baking in the kitchen and pretending I was on ready steady cook! But mostly I remember being shouted at by my mum, for using every bowl and utensil and basically turning the kitchen upside down.

After completing an NVQ 1& 2 in Catering and hospitality I began a culinary adventure, which has given me valuable experience in all areas of the catering industry from restaurant service back into the kitchen.

It wasn’t until I started working in Claridge’s as a pastry chef that I got a taste of what it takes to create pure perfection. Learning from one of the most talented and passionate chefs in the country was such an inspiring experience. The skills I gained at Claridge’s provided me with the expertise to venture off and create my own masterpieces. This is the gift I want to share with you, as a teacher and a cake maker.

Starting Tasteful Cakes was the best thing I have done to date, It’s has given me the freedom to do all the things I love the most, bake, manage, be artistic and meet so many great people and obviously eat lots of cake! The cake industry is now booming and it feels great to be a part of it!
