About Me

Well hello there! It’s me, the girl who always knew what she wanted to do…since the age of 8. Yeah, I was THAT kid who drove my mum mad baking up a storm using every pot and pan in the kitchen. My fondest memory was sitting at the table making dough dolls with my mum, which we baked painted and hung on the wall at my school. I was always so proud of how arty she was! I couldn’t draw or paint like the rest of my talented family, but I knew an artist was lurking inside me somewhere.

I spent my whole career in catering, and at 27, I landed a job at Claridge’s as a pastry chef. Let me tell you, I quickly found out why all the chefs were men – it’s impossible to be a mum and work all those crazy hours! So, I said goodbye to the testosterone-filled kitchen and started my own cake business. I wanted to be in a world of pretty sweet cakes, creating elegant and floral wedding cakes was my style!

I always swore I would never make novelty cakes, but my customers kept asking for wedding toppers, and I couldn’t find anyone to make them for me. So, I decided to take matters into my own hands and take a class on sugar sculpting 3D figures. And that’s when everything changed for me. I finally found my thing, my passion, my niche. A year later, I was making cake toppers for the lady who wouldn’t make them for me – how’s that for irony?

From there, I just followed my heart and moved into anything that slightly scared me. I started teaching and fell in love with helping people build their confidence and seeing the look on their faces when they achieved something they never thought was possible.
